Read an interesting book recently, How to Raise An Read an interesting book recently, How to Raise An Adult by Julie Lythcott-Haims, and it got me thinking about a few things. We'll, several things actually, but one of them is that our lives are a bit like this pointillist painting... Lots and lots of little points of contact, and decisions and actions and thoughts make up the whole picture at the end.
.
What kind of picture are you painting?
.
Mine would be something with lots of books, family and probably set in nature.

We loved visiting Old Bedford Village in Bedford, PA. It wasn't an actual village, but it's made up of buildings from the time period moved to the site.
.
There were so many interactive buildings, where we dipped candles, helped make pottery, attended an old school house and more.

I love it when my kids are engaged in a project th I love it when my kids are engaged in a project that they're excited about and builds skills that will enrich their lives.
.
That's why when we were given the opportunity to test out Primer, a new platform for homeschoolers to do just that, I couldn't wait to jump on board.
.
It's segmented into "clubs" based on interest, like storytellers, naturalists, game makers, etc. (and you can join as many as you want. There are projects and prompts to get creativity flowing and Britton is LOVING it!
.
Right now, kids can submit project proposals for a chance to win $500 in grant money to complete their project--and you don't have to be a Primer member to win.
.
Click the link in my bio for more details about it--and don't wait, the deadline is this weekend!
